So what is a hair toner and what does it actually do?  Hair toner is a form of semi-permanent colour which corrects or personalises your colour.  A toner is applied once your permanent colour has been rinsed off to help create a bespoke shade. A hair toner is frequently used on light blonde hair but can also be used on brunettes and redheads to help remove any brassy tones.  Remember this isn’t your natural hair colour, so if you have naturally dark hair a toner can still be used if you are colouring your hair lighter. The toner itself only affects the hair that has been dyed and does not affect your natural colour.  How long does the application take?
